Good Faith Estimate
Notice to clients and prospective clients:
Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers are required to give clients who do not have insurance or are not using insurance an estimate of expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy.
You are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy.
You may request a Good Faith Estimate from your healthcare provider, or any other provider of your choice, before scheduling a service or at any time during treatment.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 higher than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill. Be sure to keep a copy or photo of your Good Faith Estimate for your records.
For more information about your rights to a Good Faith Estimate or how to dispute a bill, refer to your Estimate or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
